The Dutch Committee for the support of
Family Medicine Training in LMICs
The Support Group helps in boosting Family Medicine Training programs in LMICs. It collaborates with the Peter Manschot Fonds (PMF).
The Support Group is a network of GPs, who were formerly tropical doctors. They hope to contribute by partnering with the South.
The start was in 2001 in Eldoret Kenya in Moi University, but they have since been active Rwanda, Malawi, Oeganda and Ethiopia. We also hope to support Indonesia in the FM-training. Operating within Primafamed we try to link Dutch FM-trainers to counterparts in Africa.
